Reconnecting with yourself when midlife leaves you running on empty.
There have been times — and honestly, there still are — when I’ve felt like I’m living on autopilot. Like I’ve somehow lost my way. Life’s happening to me, and I’m not fully participating as a whole human anymore.
Between family, work, and the endless to-do list, I’d massively lost touch with myself. It felt like I was stuck on a relentless wheel of doing, but it was always for someone else’s needs, wants, or necessities. I honestly couldn’t remember the last time I’d done something — or even wanted to do something — that truly filled me up.
If that sounds familiar, please know you’re not alone. This isn’t just my story. So many of us hit that point in midlife where we realise our tanks are empty. We’re wading uphill through treacle, exhausted, disconnected from ourselves and everyone else.
Low energy in midlife woman
We crave calm. We crave connection. We just want to feel like me again. But where do you even start? There’s so much noise out there — every coach and their aunt has the latest “must-do” for perimenopausal women. It all sounds legit, but it’s overwhelming, isn’t it? You end up thinking, “How can I possibly do it all?”
Here’s the truth: you don’t have to. Doing it all isn’t the only way. Some women can pull their bootstraps up and power through — and I genuinely applaud them — but that hasn’t been my story. It worked for a while… until it didn’t.
And when it stopped working, it felt so isolating.
That’s exactly why I created the Flow Forward Starter Guide. It’s not about overhauling your life or adding more pressure. It’s about one small, gentle shift — your 1% shift — that helps you feel more like yourself again.
It’s the method I coached myself through, the one I’ve shared with women I’ve worked with for over 12 years, and now, it’s the one I’m sharing with you.
woman journaling for self care in midlife
Inside, you’ll find a short quiz to help you uncover where your energy needs the most care right now. It really is short — just six questions (I told you, no pressure!). Maybe you need more rest. Maybe it’s time to set some boundaries, bring more joy into your days, or reconnect — with yourself or with the people who’ve quietly slipped into the background.
You’ll also get a super simple 1% Shift Tracker to help you turn that fresh insight into action — literally one tiny, doable step at a time.
And because I know how powerful reflection can be, I’ve included simple AI prompts to help you notice patterns, celebrate progress, and stay curious about your growth. Think of it as a gentle co-coach walking alongside you.
Now, AI isn’t essential — nothing replaces real human connection — but it can be a great co-creator and brain alleviator when you’re foggy or just trying to get through the day. Like I said, it’s not essential, just there if you want a little extra support.
You don’t need to do more. You just need to start. Start messy if you have to — one small shift, one gentle step, one moment of presence at a time.
Take care
Amber
